I'm in the market for a BGE but I can't decide which size to get. Any suggestions? I very rarely grill turky so I figured the 14.5" medium size would satisfy all of my roasting/grilling/smoking needs but I don't want to be left regreting anything...

chuck, it doesn't make any difference. No matter which one you get, you will enjoy it and you will want to get another one. I had a medium, enjoyed it and never encountered a situation where I thought I needed a large. Then I got a large, enjoy it and find it's not too big to do anything I was doing on the medium. If you're cooking for no more than four, medium should do fine. If you're cooking for more than one, large will not be too big.[p]Either way, you win.

    chuck,
If the price difference is not that great between the medium and the large, get the large. I am a single guy and asked the same question when I was ready to purchase mine, the forum suggested the large if I could afford it. The price difference at that time was around $75 so I got the large. I now have a medium and a mini to go with it.[p]Like Wise One said, either way you win just by having one.[p]Welcome to the forum,

If you are planing on doing a LARGE turkey, I think that a large BGE would be in order. 14.5 from stem to stern isn't a terribly large bird.
(course since I got my large for Christmas I haven't yet done a turkey on my egg. Before this I have done up to 24 Lb. birds on my Webber.)

chuck,[p]Get the large! You'll be amazed at the things you'll be cooking in a few weeks. I was thinking of a medium for a while and I am slowly coming to my senses ... whe I get another (I have a Mini) I'm going for a second LArge!

chuck,[p]Get the large. I've only had my BGE for about 6 weeks now. Since then we have cooked on it almost every night. I normally cook for only 3 or 4 and I wish my Large was even larger. You won't be disappointed.[p]rays
