Grilled Tilapia

Hi There!

Has anyone grilled whole Tilapia? I would like some recipes. I find several but they are all for fillets. I need a good presentation to get by my wife. LOL You know the no heads kind. I am cooking also for my mother. 86 and has cleaned at least 5k pearch in here life. I want to impress her. Thanks in advance

    I tried Tilapia once at a restaurant, Friday's I think, anyhow I thought it was god awful. Tasted like moss. :sick: Maybe this was just a bad experience but I can't force myself to try again. Please tell me I am wrong.

    P.S. I am used to eating fresh walleye. ;)

    Not whole but filets to die for..

    1. Coat it Paul Prudhommes Magic Seafood and Garlic Salt (heavy)
    2. Start Olive Oil in skilltet on BGE
    3. Simmer until 60% done and flip, add more seasoning.
    4 Pour over generous helping of Vermouth (almost floating)
    5. Squeeze lemon juice and complete the simmer
    Serve. You can substiture Byrons Butt Rub, Dizzy Pig, etc too.

    Applebees Tilabia is not representative of well prepared filiets but it is not fresh walleye to the discerning fisherman...tilapia is middle american never been fishing and don't like the smell of fish fish...
