Tried our first pizzas tonight. My wife made a simple flour/water/yeast dough recipe in the bread maker. Simple sauce of tomato sauce and a few spices. Had everybody make a little (6"-8") pizza - pepperoni was the favorite. Got the EGG started and added the plate setter and BGE pizza stone. Heated and held at 525*-550* for about 20 minutes then started cooking. First pizza took about 7 minutes... MMMMMmmm good! Had a minute or so between pizzas. Each one took about 6-7 minutes. Nothing burnt... excellent taste... just the right size... kids loved 'em - so did we :)[p]The EGG is simply amazing! Looks like we won't be making so many trips to the local pizza parlor.[p]The only problem I had at first was keeping the temp in the 500-550* range. It would swing pretty severly at first, 475-600* with barely any movement on the bottom vent. Kept the top open the whole time and tried to adjust the temp strictly with the bottom vent. Finally settled down and most the pizzas cooked at about 550*[p]Walter
