Well, after a long period of anticipation, it has arrived... my genuine Lawn Ranger handle for my LBGE! I put it on Rastis, my newer BGE. Ain't it just perfect!

Nice, but aren't those eggs setting a little low for you?

Nice handle!! I am sure it was worth all the time it took to get .
And Steve you only wish your eggs were getting too low for yourself!! :woohoo: -
Dang, when I read the subject line I thought maybe the new phone books were here (too subtle?).
Nice looking handle - absolutely beautiful. I may have to come check it out in person one day real soon. -
Haha. The pic didn't show it, but they are about 24 inches off the ground. Here they are on the unfinished cabinet. I still have to build doors and finish the bottom.
-
holy hippo batman, that likeness is fantastic
i didn't know mikey was such an artist!!! . ... that is one of his finest pieces of work yet!!!
good stuff. ... -
You already were somebody my friend.....The handle looks awesome...your table looks pretty schweet also..
-
Nice looking handles...glad the "pot lifter" came through for the BGE's...I have some special handles on order also...I can't wait to get mine... :P
-
Thanks brother Wess! I hope I'll get to cook for you and Sally someday.
-
What would I have done without you and your potlifter! The handles are definatly worth waiting for!
-
I'll tell Jeannie that you said it looks just like her!! :woohoo: Mike is very talented indeed! I hope you and Spawn are doing okay.
-
Are you going to color Bo to match Rastus and put the new vent on the bottom? I bought the new stainless vent for mine but the bolts and nut are fused into one so it's still waiting.
-
Sorry, I'm unlisted. That's why I gain my validation on the handle.Haha.
Jeannie and I would love to welcome yall to our home.
-
Thanks for the kind words. If it gets any hotter down here, my eggs will be touching the ground! :woohoo:
-
I've thought about matching the new stainless steel on the bottom. But I need to ensure that the crack repair will hold up first. As far as matching color, I'm going to leave Bo as is. He's an old clay egg, and has earned every battle scar he's gotten. The thought of moving him again kinda worries me.
-
I know what you mean. My egg looks like a roadmap. Put together with Rutland cement including the firebox and firering. Mine was orange and looked bad so I painted it forest green to hide most of the roadmap repair. It's holding up great and I'm afraid to move it around too much.
-
If it gets too ratty looking, I might force a paint job. That orange color is bit much. How did yours turn out?Pics?
-
This is my setup with my old clay egg painted. -
Wow. That egg really turned out nice! And that's a good set-up...but...no hammock?
-
Perfect... Absolutely Hippopotamusly Perfect...
Life was good but now it's better.
By the way, it's also a known fact that your meals taste better when cooked on an Egg outfitted with a Genuine Lawn Ranger handle.
