Howdy all![p]Had ourselves one hell of a q'in weekend. Started out Saturday morning with Randy's sweet beef jerky. Came out great as always. Randy's recipe is quite good. After that came smoked bologna sandwices for my son. Actually quite tatsy.[p]Sunday rolled around and I decided to try Randy's sweet n hot jerky with top round as meat of choice. Didn't have time to marinade long enough but it still came out quite good. After that I threw on a 8 lbs bone in butt. Got the temp stabilized @ 225 with a #2 ring. That was on the large. On my medium I threw a recipe I pulled from Ravnhaus website. Great site I might add. I tried the preserve stuffed pork loin. The mistake I made was two fold. I let internal get to 148 (too long) and I let the loin sit in the fridge for 3 hours before grilling it.The preserves had leaked out a bunch of water. Virtually no raspberry preserve taste. Bummer. I'll try that again at a later date.
Woke up the next morning and my large had dropped to 222. Damn rangs...... Pulled it at 204. It is as you all know very tasty indeed.[p]Did pulled pork tacos last night and hit the gym twice today. Have to keep my girlish figure ya know.[p]All and all a fun weekend.[p]P.S. I also recieved today a care package from Marv's BBQ. Some chicken rub, rib rub and Marv's killer hot n spicy sauce. Now that's a good sauce for those who have not tried it.[p]Mick
