looks like there's even a new felt gasket! Now THAT is over the top!Re-gasketing America one yard at a time.

OK, I give... Why are you using it as a planter? Did the top break?

Nope...While I was test fitting my egg on my new table project it fell off and cracked all the way down and across the base (my infamous never catch a falling egg blog entry, I fixed it with JB Weld, and it was doing just fine but I couldn't take it anymore and ordered a replacement base that my dealer installed last week. My wife demaned that I smash it and put it in the trash and I offered it to her for a garden planter in a far away corner of the yard and she acquiesced.Visit my blog, dedicated to my Big Green Egg Recipies at http://www.bigtsbge.blogspot.com You can also follow my posts on FaceBook under the name Keep On Eggin' or the link http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Keep-On-Eggin/198049930216241

Took a look at your blog (to add to my egghead links just to prove I'm relatively sane!) - nice tip about the Graig farm charcoal - I live near(ish) there and we regularly get meat from them - now if I can just slip some charcoal onto the next order ....
Mind you at GBP 11 for c5kg I'm not sure I'd get away with it
I have tried coppicing charcoal before from this area but it's been very varied.
