More help please WMK
First off, thanks for the help before, I was able to "activate" my handle. As you can probably tell by the still guest posting, something hasn't gone quite right. That something is the activation email. I think I changed the email address in the profile, but may not have in my excitement. But either way, I haven't recieved the mail as of yet. I hope its just me being impatient, but appreciate your help if I'm not.

be sure to check your spam...junk mail....norton blocked in-boxes etc. often this message ends up there also if you are using a hotmail acct there were problems with that in the beginning . good luck

Got em all checked... use a gmail account, and their spam filter seems to (tho not always) be smarter than most... so, here's hoping.

It shouldn't take long; so, if you haven't got it yet, you probably won't. As Bill said, check you spam folder; or, better still, add *@eggheadforum.com to your "white list".
I just sent out another confirmation email on the chance that there's something wrong with the activation process and it never sent out the automatic one. You should have it by the time you read this -- if not, then the email address in your profile is probably not correct. It is a gmail account, but I don't know if the mailbox name is correct -- that's the purpose of the confirmation: to ensure that we have a valid, correct, email address (in case you need to get a new password for example).
If you don't receive it, please reply to this post and include your current email address as "blahblah at gmail dot com" (to avoid spammers getting hold of it). I'll update your profile myself and that should get you going. -
Thanks for looking into this WMK, I hope I hadn't mispelled my email address, but it appears that I've either done that in my rush or that something else is happening... either way. The original email address on the profile was fvalleyguy and the new one I'd prefer to use is analogpanther both are at gmail.

Yes, you did misspell the original email address (left out the "e" in valley). I updated your profile with the new address and sent out another confirmation email. Though it is sometimes a pain, that's the purpose of this process -- to ensure we have a valid email address so that you can get a new password if necessary, or the like.
