This beats the heck out of my old set up, which was my egg sitting on a paver on my deck. My back likes this a little more as well.

Very nice but it looks like you scared the s%#t out of the dog  . Thats the same color I'm looking for my bar top in the den. Very nice looking setup.

The dog runs at the site of a phone camera. Thanks, I'm really pleased with it, just had a custom cover made for it too.

Very nice setup sambuca..love the color of the granite!

That is a beautiful set up you have there. What is the counter height?
-
Outstanding. Nice work. What flavor wood and finish did you use?
-
That is indeed a beautiful rig. You will enjoy the workspace!

Thanks!
Ht is 35 1/2" to top of counter
Wood is Oak
Stain is a Golden Pecan. -
Oh, now that's nice. It'll take even the hottest plate setter on that.
Is that really granite? It looks almost like Silestone. -
Granite. Some good friends of mine own a countertop business and have quite the selection of remnants. This had several very nice specs of greens, greys, blacks, and other attractive features, so I went with it. Luckily for me, they gave me the friends and family discount, double lucky is the fact they cut it wrong, it's supposed to have 2" hanging off each side...so they told me to keep this for now as a trial, come back if I want something different and they'll take care of it.

You've got the pinnacle of tops there, Sam. Good friends, indeed. Darn near indestructible.

Great looking cook station, I like the granite!

Looks awesome. Hopefully you will be able to find a cover that fits pretty well. The tarp does the job, but doenst seem worthy of your fine set-up there.

Looks great. Did you use any plans or wing it. Do you have any drawn up you'd be willing to post.
-
Very nice. I know what you mean by hard on the back--my old setup was based on the use of stacked cinder blocks.
The granite certainly adds a nice touch of class.Larry

We actually used the Naked Whiz's plans as our foundation, then just winged it, enclosed it with oak wainscot.
Just picked up the cover yesterday. A local tent & awning company custom made it using material for boat covers. I gave him the dimensions and he kicked it out in a day, I was amazed, it's black and fits like a glove. -
That's something else...well done!
-
Very nice table, enjoy and I hope you have plenty of good cooks on that one.
