Bought grill extender... I was wondering what

the purpose is of the unit folding over on itself? It must be a newer model and it is hinged on both sides of the the center brace.

It looks to me like you can add water or juice during the cook, pretty handy by the look of it.

Paul B.,[p]This is just a guess, but since the grill extender allows you to "stack" a cook (something underneath and something on it) I'd say it's hinged so you can get at what's underneath easier. (How's that for a run on sentence -- grin!)[p]Kelly Keefe
