At home my egg sits under the porch so I seldom use the cover. I just got a new egg for the lake house and it sits out back unprotected. What do you think? Is it ok to just leave it out there without the cover??

The Egg will be fine...I left mine uncovered for 8 years and it still looks great. If you have a wooden table, however, it will weather faster without a cover.

I left my terracotta BGE uncovered for 18 years.
The new ceramic Eggs are better. -
My eggs sit out in all weather, sun, snow, ice...
They love it! HNeither has complained, yet! -
We have a cover on our open deck. I think it is a good idea--if nothing else because our rain is dusty and dirty here.

Mine don't mind the weather.

COVER IT...CLEAN, NEAT, SLOWS MOLD AND MILDEW DEVELOPMENT. And if you have a neighborhood association, you might not have a choice in some neighborhoods.
