I'm getting ready to cook a spatchcock chicken. I plan on cooking at 375 dome can I use my grid extender and put some corn on top for around an hour or is this to hot for the corn???

don't see why not

My experience has been that corn likes high temperatures, besides which you'll have the chicken deflecting some of the direct heat. It should be fine.

Soak the corn in water after you take off the silk and stray pieces of husk around the silk. Helps keep the husk from drying out too quick.

I do corn all the time, direct or indirect, I don't soak or remove the silk. Just trim both ends and cook it, it shucks very easily when cooked. I go 40-60 minutes at 350 dome, if cooking direct, turn every 10 minutes or so. -RP
