Does anyone have a great way to cook fresh trout? Caught some this passed weekend and thought about smoking some, any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Trout, Smoked, Simple, Prof Dan

    Simple, easy, delicious trout.


    1 Trout [whole, not fillet]
    6 Green onions



    *********Preparation Directions**********
    1 Rinse the trout. Sprinkle season salt inside and out.
    **********Cooking Directions**********
    1 Get the egg up to 250 -- maybe some wood chunks if you like it smokey.
    2 Lay several green onions across the grid. [I use a grill topper, too.]
    3 Lay the trout across the green onions.
    4 Let it smoke for an hour at 250.
