Well spend about 6 hrs so far, and here is where I am at so far.
8"solid rubber wheels on the egg side, 4" casters at the other, 58" long.
Deck will be redwood, (todays project including some more metal work.

Interesting...
Is there some reason for the offset of the two halves?
Can't wait to see the final result.

Yes, the offset is to leave the "span" of the two rear wheel inside 30" (standard door size), while maximizing the workable width. I needed a centerbrace in the general area, to support the weight of the egg (still to come). Additionally it also allows for a future "fender" to protect the tires from ashes. Also the center lines of the front and rear wheel are closer together. So as you can see, various reasons.
The frame was chosen in that size, that it has enough "umpf", but allows for a little flex so all wheel will stay on the ground w/o wobble.

Love it & cant wait to see the progression pics. I'm great with concrete, ok with wood, but terrible with metal. Looks like a lot of thought went into the base. Keep posting the pics & good luck.
