sealing the draft door
I have a large BGe that I have replaced the original draft door with the stainless one. My problem is although I have used hi temp caulk to seal around it, the caulk just burns away after one medium temp cook. I have tried this a couple of times still with the same result.Any thoughts or help on this would be most appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like you aren't using caulk that is really high temp? I just use regular 500 degree silicone caulk from Ace hardware and it has held up.The Naked Whiz

You could also try red or black rtv silicone. These are formulated for high heat in industrial and mechanical situations. You can get them at any auto parts store.
