Had to redeem myself after taking the family to the Outback per my daughter's request for her birthday. She's 5 now, and I guess likes the atmosphere over there , since my son asked to go there for his birthday. I know she doesn't like the steak there, because she orders up the chicken nuggets. Again, I had a ribeye which I usually order there, and yes...it was not up to BGE standard. So guess what I did for dinner tonight?
This is about all I really need to get a good sear:
Hehe...I almost lost some arm hair here--I was shooting the pics, and almost forgot to put the long mitt on to turn the steaks.
Final product:
They were both a perfect medium, which is about where all of us can agree upon when it comes to the doneness of the steaks. Looking forward to the Eggfest in the morning

That is a good looking cook. Thanks for sharing. Was it a TRex or what?

If daughter wanted "Chuckie Cheese" that is where you take her. :woohoo:
Nice job on the steaks.

Mike,
Great looking steaks, it dose not make a difference if you like them rare or medium as long as you cook them on an Egg.
My Best,

Good lucking pics. Really like the 1st fire shot! I would have figured you would have gone up there Fri for the pregg blow out! What you cooking Sat?

Yes, it was TRex...the only steaks which I don't cook like that are flat iron steaks--they're much too thin.

Thanks, guys! I'll have more pics after the Eggfest today.

Definitely agree with that, Ross!

There was no meet-and-greet scheduled for last night, and I couldn't have gone if I wanted too--the Mrs. had to work (she's still there...)
As far as cooking, I decided not to cook for the first Eggfest I attend...I'd like to meet some of the folks out there, and also see what it's all about. Plus, all of my family will be there, so I'm sure that the kids will need/want something during that time. I'll have some pics later on.
