I purchased my new large egg last weekend and have cooked on it 5 of the last 7 days. It's been 13 years since I've cooked on this type kamado cooker. My dad brought one home with him from Japan back in 1970 and I took it over in 1983 and used it until 1989. I moved across country then and the egg broke up when I tried to load it into the moving van. Being spoiled for so long I had no idea how much I would miss it. After buying the best gas grills I could afford and going through 2 or 3 cheep metal smokers I finally said "no more" and bought a large green egg. I'll never stray again. I'm looking forward to sharing recipes and knowlege when ever I can.[p]Semper Fi,[p]MC

Marine Cook,
Sounds to me like one of those, "I was lost and now I'm found" stories. Congratulations.[p]Spring Chicken
