I'm not a big fan of sweet sauces. Is the Blues hog a sweet sauce or does it have more of a vinegerey taste. Just don't want to buy something I want like.

    To say it's sweet would be an understatement. It is very sweet. One of the best for ribs IMO, but if you don't like sweet sauces then I'd take a pass.

    Try this::::::::

    Sauce, BBQ, Vinegar, Fat Johnny's Bastardized Piedmont Sauce

    BENTE, here is my favorite for a vinager based Piedmont sauce.

    1 quart cider vinegar
    12 oz bottle Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce
    1/3 cup packed brown sugar
    2 Tbs red pepper flakes
    2 Tbs salt
    1 tsp black pepper
    1 tsp celery seed
    2 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
    Juice of one lemon
    1 Tbs chipotle powder
    1 tsp dry mustard
    1 Tbs onion powder

    Bring to the boil, then simmer for 10-15 minutes. Let cool, and bottle. Great with Carolina style pulled pork BBQ sandwiches.
