Do you guys pull the fire ring when cooking your steaks at 700+.....seems real close to the fire.

Todd, I personally do not. Others have talked about putting the steak directly on the coals (that's real close!).

Todd,[p]I own all four Egg sizes and have made many a great steak on each (cooked direct on the grill with the fire ring in place). The mini Egg makes the very best steaks and I believe it is because the meal is closer to the fire source.[p]As my wife will only allow a hint of pink in her finished steak, I do cook them at 550-600°F.[p]Spin
