    <p />YB,
Nice idea about the corian. I was wondering what I could do if the wood on my Egg-mates got funky looking (not in over 8 months so far though). Did you just use four bolts in the corners?[p]The guy down the street deals in corian - or he use to. I must ask him for some scrap pieces sometime. Thanks for the idea.[p]Tim

Tim M:[p]If you keep the wood and it needs refinishing, there used to be a exterior penetrating stain called Watco Oil. I am not certain if this product is available today by this name. [p]The neat thing about this product is that it could penetrate and seal without a urethane or spar varnish top coat that eventually cracks in an exterior application.[p]But corian, gibralter or related products . . . YB has it figured out. Maintenance free!

    Tim M,
I put all 8 screws back in each side,i bought a drill bit from Home Depot that drills the hole and counter sinks at the same time.Go to a cabinet shop and ask if they have any Corian for sale where they cut out for sinks, they sell that a reasonably low price, you do have to cut it with a carbide saw blade. Thanks for your help.

    YB,
Ouch, another great suggestion!! I have a friend who makes custom cabinets. While I have never seen any corian - I bet he has some in there somewhere or maybe some other pretty wood. Ohh, how about a heavy burled walnut??[p]Tim

YB, save the beauty of burl for pipes, gunstocks and pistol grips :-) Wow! [p]Burl usually comes from the root area of a walnut tree. Iffy for outdoor exposure tho. Corian is the best deal going.
