First time Guru Update

Just finished my first cook with guru. Pork Butt turned out great but had minor problems.1\
1. Had draft problem AZRP mentioned in earlier post. I had not read his post when I noticed temperature above setpoint with fan not running. Solved by closing damper on the fan manifold to 1/3 open instead of 1/2 recommended in manual. next time I,ll just close the daisy more like AZRP suggested.
2. Temperature was reading on guru higher than seemed logical. based on dome BGE thermometer. I had bolted an eyelet to the cast iron grate to clip the grill probe to. I believe either I was syncing to much heat from grid up the eyelet to the probe or to close to heat rising around plate setter but the problem was solved by clipping the grill probe to the exposed part of the food probe 2 inches away from the meat. the grill temp then read a sensible reading based on dome temp theremometer and all went well with the rest of the cook. Thanks again for all the help Jeff
