In regards to AZRP's chicken recipe, does the sauce make the chicken taste hot, like spicy hot?

the sauce seems to sink down into the meat if you let it steep like he says. its got flavor, but its not hot, ive been making it hotter with each cook but i dont think his intent was for hot chicken. the seeping makes it fall off the bone tender.

Surprisingly no...well yes....I know that is contradictory but it is not as spicy as you would think...however each person has their own sense of taste....when I made it I did cut back about 1/2 on all of the spices....it was delicious...my son age 27 said it was spicy but not too much...my wife age ??? said it was spicier than she liked...I thought it was just right...my d-in law also thought it spicy but good....

did I halep at all?? I doubt it but I thought I would answer :P

I thought it was spicey-hot, just not painful spicey-hot. My gang all liked it and the veges.

It really is a unique taste and does seep into the chicken... I will fix it again but with the cut down amount of spices...yes the vegys are great also....

Would you mind posting THE CHICKEN RECIPE? I have not mastered the archive revival for some reason. Thanks

I want to make it this weekend, but I'm not sure if I'm ready for the veggies cooked in the drippings. Any comments on what to do for just the chicken only? Maybe a drip pan with a little water in it?

I'd call it very spicy, but not hot, even though it has every thing hot known to man in it. -RP

Kim says not to inhale when opening the foil......
    It gets in your lungs.

That storm closed down flights to and from DFW.

I thought it was great. not very hot but with a nice little kick. My seven year old daughter inhaled it and she won't eat veggies with black pepper on them. So I think you should be in the clear if you are not a fan of heat.
