Large Pork Loin - Can I Smoke It?

Hello, friends,
I've been a lurker for a while here, but I now find myself in need of some help.
And before I ask, bless you all - the tips I've gotten here have been fabulous.
So - my neighbor is entering a chili contest this weekend, and he wants to use pork loin for meat in the chili. He asked if I can slow cook this on the BGE.
My question - can this be smoked at a low temp, like a shoulder? This pork loin is over 10 pounds! I'm going to have to cut it in half to fit in the BGE, but most of the recipes I've seen are for higher temps.
And don't worry - I asked if it was legit for me to cook this for him, and he said it was fine. It's a fireman's chili contest - essentially, no rules.
Thanks!

i'm gonna say yes, you can smoke it. i do them at around 300 dome temp, indirect with cherry or apple chips till 140 internal. pork loins are very lean with little to no fat

As rick said you can smoke it, but it will take a lot less time to cook and should be pulled at 140
Slice it up and serve it with a good gravy.. YUMMMM!!! -
Yep -- cut it in half, then
Slice the halves down the middle.
Par-fry some bacon
Put some bacon inside, and some outside
Keeps it moist and adds lots of flavor!

Thanks for the tips! I'll let you know how it comes out.
