My wife was heading to the store last night and asked if there was anything I wanted......I said "baby back ribs"....I've always bought them that way. [p]She came home with "back ribs"................[p]what's the difference?[p]I'm planning on a lo 'n' slo today......200-225 for 5 hours, then switch to direct for an hour, last 15 with BBQ sauce.......[p]Let me know!![p]Life is Grand!!

Toe 49,
Back ribs are the daddy of the babybacks. [p]Sorry. you should have babyback ribs there![p]I would suggest going with cooking temps 225-250 with those ribs. A 3.5-4 hour cook works the best for me....with the longer (5+ hour) cooks yielding a dryer product. Just what I have found. Spares are a different story.[p]Have a grand weekend!
Steam Beers to you

Nature Boy,
So......the only question I now have is are they really fatty when cooked....the daddy's that is? If so I may just trot to the store and grab some baby's.......guess I know I'll be getting my own BBQ stuff from now on!!

Toe 49,
Bbacks are not to fatty. Much of the fat is rendered, and the rest tastes good![p]Have a blast with your cook.
