WMK: I found I could access my profile from the Cookbook page, in the lower left corner. I got this message on entering the profile page: "Mozilla < 1.3 Beta is not supported! I'll try, though, but it might not work."

I entered passwords and edited my handle, but the Update button does not work. I use Mac OSX 10.4.11 (Tiger). I'm using Safari browser, not Firefox. When I returned to that page the info boxes were blank again.

    Judy Mayberry,

I am using Safari on a Mac (OS/X 10.5.2) also; and, I cannot update my profile with it either. We are aware of the issue, but have not yet determined a fix for it.

The profile "Update" button uses browser "events" which, unfortunately, have a number of cross-browser issues. We are looking into it.

In the meantime, as a work-around, I suggest that you use FireFox for this purpose (just editing your profile) and then return to Safari for your normal browser. That's what I'm doing now too. At least FireFox is free and it works well on the Mac.

    Judy Mayberry,

Well, I fixed the update button, but as I suspected, there are other issues.

The editor at the bottom of the profile does not work properly in Safari even with the fix for the update button (that's what the "Mozilla < 1.3 beta" message is all about). Of course, our versions of Safari are not "Mozilla < 1.3 beta" but just disabling that message doesn't make the editor work. So, we'll look into that problem next. But at least now, most profile updates can be made with Safari.
