Would it be ok drill a hole in the band and through the Egg and put a bolt in it. That would end worry about the Dome comming off.

Tighten the bolts as tight as you can physicaly get them.[p]Then, unscrew the nuts about half a turn. Apply some "thread bond" type glue. It's specialty glue, made to almost litteraly "bond" metal to metal. Can be found at most quality hobby stores. Just tell em' you need some glue to meld metal to metal.[p]Apply the glue around the thread in the bolt, and IMEDIATELY TIGHTEN back that half turn, until you cant tighten anymore.[p]Do this on both top and bottom bolts. Viola, you never have to worry about the dome falling off/out of the bands again. Seriously.[p]Or just keep the nuts tightend, and check the every so often. But if you use the glue, you never have to worry about it again. Those bolts/nuts won't be going ANYWHERE!![p]Ps.....NEVER, NEVER, NEVER drill through the dome. You will void your warranty, and it is TOTALY not needed.
