I just cant cook them other than how they are originally suppose to be which is by full size roast. My family is from Santa Maria, home of the tri-tip and we have had a ranch there for over 60 years and we know how to cook them as we are part of that tradition and heritage. The best piece of meat imo.

You should try suzie q season that another family married into ours owns in the Santa Maria valley. They have a website and we use it religiously.
