Can't see posted pictures

I'm a cherry to this forum and I'm sure an explanation exists but I can't find it. I am not able to see posted pictures with in the forums. I understand that some images are not uploaded or linked correctly but I know others are by the comments egghead users make. Help.

Large images do not currently show up in the "wide" view, but most do show up in the "narrow" view. We are working on a new "template" to integrate all of the views more thoroughly which will address these issues.

The "narrow" view can be entered from the home page "Forums" menu. It's not too very convenient at the moment, that's why we are working on the new template.

I can't see pictures (some) either, narrow or wide view.

I only can a few avatars as well, although some do come through.

On the Club Egg page I can't see the Eggfest banners :(

I thought it was my security software...but that doesn't change when I turnoff.

What browser are you using?

IE...not for sure which version.

My laptop with same norton can view everything...not sure why.

Should I try to update my IE on my home puter?

I'm not aware of any issues with either IE6 or IE7, but if you are using a version older than that, it's possible.

Are you getting a red "X" for pictures, or are you seeing the url?

If you can right click the "X", and view the image properties, see if you can view the image url directly by cutting and pasting the url into your browser. Can you see the image then?

I just upgraded to IE7.

I tried to cut n pastye image property url, nothing. Gettting HTTP 1440 error message.

Ahh! I see the problem.

Try changing "eggheadforum.com" to "greeneggers.net".

The "greeneggers.net" domain is just for testing; so, we are soon going to move back onto eggheadforum.com, but for the moment, the software there is not 100% up-to-date.

Discovered it was a restriction setting under my parental control settings on my firewall. I certainly do not want my kids to see those wonderful brisket pictures and images of butts.
