egg weight and accessories

I am planning on purchasing either a large or medium egg once I move into my new place in September. Within the next 8 years, I will probably be moving 3 or 4 more times, and will of course be bringing my egg with me. My main concern with the large egg (which I would prefer) is the weight issue. How easy is it to get these heavy eggs into the egg nest? I am not weak, but at 5-7, 180, I am certainly no incredible hulk (though it would be nice to match my future egg). I figured that the medium would be much easier to work with since it's about 50 lbs lighter, but I like the size of the large, especially to make larger pizzas and thanksgiving turkeys.
The other issue I had a question about accessories. The 18.5" diameter of the large seems like a pretty standard size, and if I needed a replacement grill, I could easily get one almost anywhere, but I don't know how easy that would be for a 15" medium diameter. Does anyone with either size grill have experience in purchasing things such as replacement grills or other accessories by companies other than BGE, and how compatable are these? Thanks for your help.

Aron, in just a few years you will probably have both a large and a medium (and a small) so don't sweat it. You will think nothing of moving all of them. As for getting grills for the medium, the easiest way is to just buy a replacement grill from BGE. They're quite useful for indirect cooking, multiple layer cooking and if one goes (how I'm not sure - these things seem to be indestructable)you always have a spare until you can get another extra. I have picked up spare grills from Home Depot that seems to work ok even if it is not quite the right size (15" instead of 15.5").
So bottom line, don't let weight of grill replacing be the determining factor. Just get one. You'll never regret it.

Aron,[p]When you get ready to move you will probably want to unassemble the Egg. Once you have the dome off and all the inner pieces taken out the Egg gets a lot lighter.[p]Just open the sliding vent, reach in through the top of the Egg and grab the top of the lower vent opening with your hand.[p]Even non Hulkster's like me can carry it with one hand. This is the way I took mine out of and back into the table I built for my Egg. I think the table is 3 feet high. I remember I tried to have it at the same height as my stove counter top in the house.[p]Regards,
