polder newbie

I'm fairly new to the BGE game, and on the advice of the board I purchased a polder via the new this weekend (Redi Check). Can someone give some pointers about how this is properly used?[p]Inserted into the meat when it goes on the egg? Where do you put the transmitter- just hangs off the egg? What about the wire.. will it adulterate the seal ? [p]Sorry if these are dumb questions.. BTW... Boston butt on sale at Kroger in ATL this week for 89c a pound, baby backs for 2.99 a pound! Planning on firing that baby up quite a bit.

rxdawg, no questions are dumb...ok first cover the probe wire in foil at least the part in the egg it will flaten out really well with the top weight of the egg i set my transmitter on my table maybe you can bring a table sloer to the egg on low and slow cooks? put the probe in when the meat goes on that way the hole it creates will get sealed and lose no juice 1 last thing is to check the accuracy of the polder in boiling water mine reads 6 degrees low good luck!
