Anyone have one of these things? I am thinking about buying one and I am looking for a little feedback on their performance.....I like the concept. Please give me some feedback if you have experience using one. Thanks!

Seems like there were a couple of threads that I read a while back comparing the Marivac to the Culinary Prep machine and the Foodsaver marinade pan. As I recall, the Culinary prep was the most expensive and had the strongest vacuum and most options of attachments etc (I think it was mentioned you could do a whole turkey), with the Marivac falling between the Culinary Prep and the Foodsaver as far as effectiveness.Large BGE and a couple non-greenies

I like and use mine. I have only done mostly chiciken with their provided seasonings and instructions.
There is a noticable difference in the tenderness and flavoring.

Here's a discussion from a couple of weeks ago.

and liked it . it is a bit dear but i am considering it. -
We have been selling these gadgets for about 6 months and the last few months using one almost every Saturday for our demo cooking. Works very good. We tend to leave our food in there a little longer than recommended just 'because" . This past week we did a chicken marinated in the Reveo with wing sauce and it was eggcellent! (Cooked indirect on the Large)
If you plan to buy one, please give us a shot its on our website.

I have one and I like it a lot. It really does work just as it's advertised.Ray Lampe Dr. BBQ

You should look into the Culinary Prep. It's an awesome product. In addition to pulling the strongest vacuum in the industry all of their marinades are awesome and they all kill 99.9% of the bacteria in the food.
You can extend the shelf life of your vegetables for weeks and sanitize your meat and seafood while you are adding great flavor. -
I posted many comments and a full review of the Marivac in the other thread (here is the link) but I will reiterate here that it is an absolutlely amazing product which is worth every penny. Of all the gadgets I have purchased for the egg or for cooking in general, the Marivac is by far the best investment yet, second only to the egg itself. Makes a huge difference in the juiciness, tenderness, flavor, and health of the food. I am a skeptic by nature and I carefully research everything I buy, sometimes for weeks in advance of the purchase, so I was a little doubtful that the Marivac would work so well. I expected it to be decent based on all the positive reviews on the web but I am happy to report that it was about 200% better than I expected.
