how far away is your nearest neighbor?

we have a place in vermont, nearest neighbor is a quarter mile away, nearest after that is a mile. nice and quiet. except when e blow things up.

The neighbor on the right is about 20 feet away, and the one on the left is about 40 feet. We live on a huge island, but 98 percent of it is owned by the federal government and can't be touched..... so all 8600 of us are on the other 2 percent crammed together.
