Well she arrived this morning at about 10:00. I got ¾ ways through the DVD and couldn’t take it any more, I had to fire this puppy up. Started out with a turkey pastrami recipe I have been using for years what a difference slow cooking with smoke, turned out pretty nice and will be awesome the next time I do it. Then did some turkey drum sticks , nice and juicy. I have so much to learn it’s going to be fun getting to master this. I think next week will be ribs can’t wait to get good at doing them. By the way ,yes that’s snow in my yard I’m a Canadian Egger but for some reason I can’t store that in my profile.

Sure they look great but sized to big for me to see. The fact you couldn't make it threw the cd says that you will fit in hear just fine!

Welcome to the club, I'm sure you will love it. Since no one else asked you, I will.
What did you do to the turkey legs?? They look great and if you don't mind, would you share the recipe with us?
Thanks and many happy cooks to you,
Ron. -
The drums were so simple I'm ashamed, I bought Steve Raichlen "Pastrami on the grill" spice mix , coated the legs by shaking them in a plastic bag and lat them sit over night. Had them in the Egg for about two hrs @ 250. I will do it again but won't be so honest with any dinner guests, I just can't tell a lie on this great forum.

Figgie,
Welcome from another snowbound citizen of Eggdom! Your table looks great! What did you build it out of? -
I'll keep your secret!Hey, if its good and it works AND simple, I love it ! Thanks for sharing and I will look for it around here. But living in the snow belt (MI) we often resort to the internet or our travels to find the good stuff.
Thanks,
Ron.
