Doing two big ones tonight for tomorrow's lunch...nearly 9 pounds apiece and taking up quite a bit of space on the Lrg.

One in the back is BB's Butt Rub and in the front we've got S/P and loads of gran. garlic. The Mrs. loves the garlic!

Hey those look great! It is 83 here right now, fired up the AC in the house. What's that white stuff in your yard?

83? Not sure I can remember what that feels like! Seems like winter has been extra EXTRA long this year. Jealous....I most certainly am!

Were you at the MN Eggfest last year, didn't know if we met you? -RP
-
Didn't know there was one, but I'll certainly try to make it this year if there's another. When/where was it?
-
Little Canada, north of St. Paul. -RP

Thanks RP, Not sure how I missed it last year, but it's only about 30 minutes from my house! I just live on the west side of the Twin Cities.

Lots of fun and great people that put this thing on, let a person from Arizona tell you to make that 30 minute drive this year, because we will be coming from 1500 miles away and it will be worth it. -RP

I've already got it marked on the calender. 1500 miles is a long way so I've gotta believe it's a good time! Will look forward to seeing you there!

Used to live in Minnie, Heritage Landing on 1st street, I miss it. I just got my LGE today, my first cook was a 4 pound Chicken indirect at 350 for 90 minutes, it turned out great.
How long and what temp are you cooking those for? -
Dan,
Hopefully right now you live somewhere warmer. If so, you're not missing out on anything! I will say that living in MN is great though most of the time.
I've got the butts on at 250 dome and time is a guess. I'll keep em on till they reach 195-200 internal, pull em off, wrap in foil, an let rest in a cooler w/towels for a few hours. Hopefully I'll have em pulled in time for Sunday's lunch.
If your lge is your first egg, welcome to the club! The people on here are wonderful, helpful, knowledgeable folks. Anything you want to know you'll probably find here. I know they've all been a tremendous help and inspiration to me.
Happy Eggin!
