This is not one of the more powerful of the Kitchenaids. Still a good mixer, but may be a little light for a meat grinder or some of the other attachments.

i don't plan on grinding meat with it anyway.

The 325 watt is plenty. We have had a 250 watt for 23 years and never had a problem. I don't grind meat though :ermm:

that's what i figured and at $139, how could i go wrong. if it can't take what i got to give it, i'll just get another more powerful one! :P
