Fiddling with the mini and need verification of measurements:

OD of Grid: 9.5 inches
OD of Fire ring: 10 inches
ID of egg shell at the top of the fire ring: 10-3/8 inches.
Distance from top of fire ring to felt rim: 1.5 inches.

The Mini grid is actually too small. It has almost 3/4" slack within the Egg walls. It moves all over the place when trying to cook a burger or something.

I would prefer a grid with no more than 1/4" slack unless there is a compelling reason to be more.

My only complaint with the Mini.

You fix'n to perform some more magic?

I just went and measured mine to double check.

They are all fairly close, but on mine the line from the top of the fire ring to the top of the felt is 1.25" max. I checked in 3 places to make sure everything was centered.

The OD of my fire ring is 10-1/8". The other two measurements were spot on.

My mini is about two years old, for reference.

And BTW, thanks for the quick shipping. I got my stuff today and am ready to fire it up. Excellent products sir.

    Spring Chicken,
I am glad you said that because I got a mini Egg for Easter and my grate looked like it was just a little bit to small inside too. I thought perhaps something was either wrong with the mini or the grate that came with it LOL.

Nothing for the mini. Stuff for the large.

But I am holding my breath waiting for something to make the mini more versatile.....

    Oh I see...
Hopefully someone will make some egg-cessories for the mini in the near future. We can all hope ;)
  • Pharmeggist,

Did you get my e-mail Thursday or Friday? I sent you a response and it bounced. I sent a second and it seemed to get thru.
