last night that was very good.
1 lb ground chuck
1 lb ground sirlion
3 slices applewood smoked bacon finely chopped
1 jalapeno pepper seeded and finely chopped
sea salt
mixed all and made patties 1" thick
completely covered the outside of the patties with cracked black pepper. cooked at 350 direct for 8 minutes per side. they were outstanding, plus the wife raved about them.
do you guys have special recipes for burgers you would share?

I have been hooked on stuffed burgers lately. About 1/2 pound burger with cheese, onions, maybe some shrooms stuffed in the middle of it and the edges sealed. Good stuff.
-
What kind of cheese? I want to try some but don't want the cheese to melt and run out.
-
I tend to throw in the kitchen sink. I dice peppers, garlic, onions a dash of salt, pepper, spices and toss. Unless I have already mixed in blue cheese I will add cheese ( swiss or what ever else in the refridge)and serve over a toasted bun with raw onion and tomatoes.

Do you mix crumbled bleu cheese or slices on the inside? also do they no melt and run out?
-
We put onions and cracker crumbs plus seasonings in our burgers and just before taking them off add a slice of cheese.

the other night I just folded a kraft single in half and put in there. Just seal your edges and make sure your burger is not too thin on top/bottom.
-
Best dang burger you will ever have.
TRex and I have both added to it.

that works for me. got the recipe?

What? No toasted bun to go with it? C'mon Mike.

As well you should!!
LOL!!!!!!
EvansI spent most of my money on good bourbon, and bad women...the rest, I just wasted!! -
I crumble it. Not like a piece of cheese on top does.

I am sure you meant this for CWM, but we know at your age you are forgetful :woohoo:

Is this the most posted pic on the board? FWIW, I used this as my screen saver...maybe 3 years ago. Got lots of complements.

BamaFan,
Don't know how you could beat that recepie...sounds great. I have sliced up some sweet onions, Vidalias if you can get them and covered them with Italian dressing. Put them on the grill on foil till they are starting to brown a little. Then cooked just "regular" burgers (ground chuck) to about med rare. The onions are great on the burgers.
