the big green egg goes commercial and we did forty covers last night at the restaurant. i did 22 aged ribeyes, 10 & 12 ounce to order, 11 orders of 8 shrimp on the barby, and 20 vegetable kabobs all in about 2 hours.

The way the food looks and Vinnys face looks. It looks like and sounds like it was a big success. Happy Egging Next time give the man a chance and let him cook his own steak. LOL.....

That food looks mighty fine! Is this Wednesday nite egg food something Vinnie recently added, or has he always had it? Bet you'll be adding another large before mid-summer. Are those $$ I see in Vinnie's eyes?

Hey PB Mike - Love to EGG set up you have there!! What is the story with the metal prep table? did you cut the hole yourself? Also, does the metal tabletop get very warm while you are cooking? That is a sweet lookinig setup......

Looks to me Vinny's was real popular preEggin days. It's geauxing to get crazy there. In the not too distant future, Vinny will have to add a south wing.

Everything about it looks awesome.....the menu, the prices, the food...sounds like an all around great start to something that could prove very lucrative...

tonya is the lunch chef and she did all the other sides, the plating, and the dessert. i stayed out by the egg and had all the steaks, shrimp skewers, and vegetable kebabs with me. they gave me the orders over the walkie-talky and i called for pick up. it worked surprisingly well for the first time trying that.
here's the pecan pie with freshly made whipped cream. wish i coulda had some of that!

yeah, i didn't get the camera out till the end and i didn't have my tripod so i used the regular flash.
that was the first time i've ever done anything like that so it got a little hectic not to mention the crowd of drunks outside smoking cigs and begging me to drop something on the ground so they could eat it! i told vinny i needed a cage to separate me from the drunks :woohoo: -
vinny has been doing bistro night for a couple months now, but his regular bistro night chef had developed some health problems so we decided to introduce the egg and have the lunch chef and me do bistro night. i think this can only get better and better... we'll see what develops.
