Spring Chicken

Hello Eggheads.

I am using the voice synthesizer this fine Earth Friday morning because the tube just below my subsistence intake and pulverize port is uncomfortable. The area also serves to create sounds that when combined with rushing air, taste-sensor manipulation and orifice opening can produce at will recognizable sounds that Earthlings use to communicate with other Earthlings. I have observed this form of communication taking place between humanoids and a variety of other carbon based species and even to the thin air itself. This is just another example of why I find these creatures so interesting. But that information will be included in my more detailed analysis of this strange place.

Meanwhile, the plumbing alarm sounded at the highest emergency setting, prompting me to race to the maintenance room and activate the manual override equipment to release the growing pressure. It worked. A by the book example of why training is so important on these assignments. Disaster averted.

Being energy conscience, I combined my other duties with this brief adventure and checked the refrigerator lamp which I found fully operational. Then I moved to the observation device where I watched Rodney Dangerbird check the credentials and perform a pat-down search of Larry Ropa, his friend and similar space occupier of the Coop. I suppose Rodney was practicing his highly tuned skills. He appeared to have everything under control so I'm not concerned.

I checked my damaged appendages and they are slowly returning to acceptable appearance but with limited use. On Monday, I am scheduled to visit Nurse Carol, a digit-puller, squeezer specialist who will no doubt have me perform unusual tasks utilizing a variety of mechanical devices. She explained that this activity is for my own good. Our home planet uses similar devices to torture cantankerous prisoners.

I also checked the Forum where carbon units sometimes come to pray or pleasure themselves by reading other reports. I found that 2 Members and 84 Guests were actively pursuing their dreams. That's enough to cover for the rest of the dark period and I can return to the recharging unit.
