I am looking for a guide line on the approximate time per pound for a whole turkey. It weighs just under 15 pounds and will not be stuffed.[p]Thanx,
Jethro

Jethro,
I do mine indirect, roughly 12 mins per pound at 350 but shoot for an internal temp of not more than 160 in the breast. Use the time as a guideline; the internal temp will tell you when it's time to eat![p]Doing a turkey for wife for Mom's Day; doing crawfish for Mom for Mom's day.

Shelby,[p]Thanks for the help. Mudbugs, do you do those on the Egg too?[p]Jethro

Jethro,
I do turkey at 300-325 for 20 minutes per pound (roughly), but always rely more heavily on the internal breast temp of the meat than I do on times/pound.

Jethro,
No, I've got a "little" 80 quart pot waiting for them!
