    She is one of my favorites. I highly recommend the Live at Blues Alley and the Songbird CDs. An amazing voice. So sad that she is gone now.

    She's one of the CD's I keep in my car for long trips.

    But she died before she even got where she got. Sang in local DC (Alexandria VA) area venues for a long time. Her first CD, if I recall correctly, was produced posthumously and made a major splash in Europe. The second CD was pieced together after the success of the first.

    On the other hand, one of my friends is a member of The Boxtops (which are still performing on occasion) and wasn't particularly impressed by her rendition of "The Letter." :cheer:
