i need to try to make the sauce adain this time with real yogurt {sp?}..... you know the stuff that is NOT fat free...

Shoot, just to get a non low fat yogurt, I had to buy a 64 oz container. I made the sauce then put it in a towel and let it drain in the fridge for a couple hours. I don't think it really was worth the effort. -RP

Is that real lamb guy. If so what did you do grind it up then make the loaf with spices. It looks great and I like to try it.

I use Alton Brown's recipe, you make a paste out of the lamb with an onion in a food processor. Follow the recipe for rotisserie but cook indirect on a raised grid at 350 dome. -RP

but cavenders makes a greek seasoning that is great on chicken (sorry DP maybe an idea for the future) that i think would make a helluva gyro

I agree to a point. I got zero liquid down in the bowl but the cheese cloth I used did suck up quite a bit of moisture.......so maybe it is worth it........kinda sorta LOL

Looks great. I have to make it. Around here more more and more places seem to be making beef gyros or beef lamb blends.
