New Bob,
Don't soak it, just chuck it on, skin and all. Then enjoy the smell![p]Kelly Keefe

Kelly Keefe,
Thanks,
I was not sure. I want to drive the neighbors wild with hunger. I added a little rub spice to the onion.
Cheers,
New Bob

New Bob,[p]It also helps to marinate the onion overnight. Bring it up to room temperature and then inject it with a garlic brine just before tossing it on the coals. Last time, I spatchcocked the onion, but it dried out too fast and didn't give the food quite as much flavor.
