hey guys

my thanks to greg for posting those pics----i could not figure out how to do it. as greg is doing now, i formed the top upside down in melamine board for a smooth finish. after a 10 day curing process, you can wet polish the concrete with diamond pads on a grinder. for this one, i went from an 800 grit to a 2000 grit diamond pad (a couple of hours). after 24 hours of drying, i sealed it with a water based granite sealer. 24 hrs later came a coat of beeswax, which needs to be reapplied every year. sounds like a lengthy process, but only around 6 hours actual worktime. i've been doing these countertops for kitchens and bathrooms in the N Georgia area for a while, and did one for my bge table. thought it might sell so offered it some local dealers last week.....wish me luck...by the way i sell them for $500/ea., but shipping is an issue

happy grilling, and thanks again to greg!

chris
