Rib-Eye Steak method? T-Rex or no?

I need some advice on cooking Rib-Eye steaks. I almost always do NY Strip steak using the T-Rex method. Tonight I'm getting a little crazy and doing Rib-Eye instead.

Can the T-Rex technique be applied to Rib-Eye?

Thanks for any thoughts.

yes just make sure it is a thick one...... but then again i usually do the t-rex methoud when the steak is down to 1/2 inch thick just have to adjust your roast time........
