Leaving for Jacksonville, Fl. next Saturday. I plan on taking the EGG with me. Will secure good and remove the grate anything else anybody can help me with. Oh, I have the top removed to be stored seperately.[p]CWM

Car Wash Mike,
How do you plan on securing it during the trip? If secured properly you should not have to remove anything.

JJ, Well, the plan right now is to load in the back of my truck and use a strap to make sure it doesn't move. I'm loading the nest with it. Never done this just not wanting to make a major mistake.[p]CWM

Car Wash Mike,
I don't have a nest, you could get some bubble wrap and pack it around the egg before setting it in the nest in the truck. Just be sure the bubble wrap is secure and won't blow out of the moving truck. (of course remove the wrap before firing up the egg) I can just see plastic melted and glued to the outside of the egg.
