You shouldn't have any problem with a 5 oz or less patty. I have sold frozen beef for 30 years and most of the time we suggested to cook from frozen on the smaller portions.
Good luck Doug -
I've done frozen turkey and beef burgers. I really can't taste any difference compared to the same mix fresh.

Do you mean Bubba Burgers?Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time

I bough a 1/2 beef from a locker and had many patties made. The locker suggests I put them on them on the grill frozen.

I guess frozen is ok if you are in a super hurry. But how long does it take to form a patty and put what YOU want in it?Guess I am from the old school and think the fresher it is the better it will taste.Chuck is always on sale some where because there is so much of it to butcher.

Cooking frozen hamburger patties is just fine. I season with S&P and cook direct about 2/3 minutes a side at around 425/450. I just check to make sure they don't burn. Put the cheese on to melt and your to go. Good louck, Tom

I cooked a frozen Bubba's Burger on the Mini for lunch. 18 minutes from light-the-fire to wiping-the smile-off-my-face.
Probably going to have some for dinner too as soon as Spring Hen gets home.

I do frozen almost all the time. If ground beef is on special I buy a whole batch and season with spices & garlic and shape and freeze between layers of parchment paper.
The kids love it when we pick them up from after school care get home and fire up Eggy and cook them some cheese burgers...I work 10 hour days and I don't have time for fresh so frozen works a treat.
mine are about 2 inches thick or so, but they come out moist and juicy and super delicious
try it, you cant go wrong!!
