BGE Thermometer Calibration

Unknown
edited November -1 in EggHead Forum
Been out of action for a while - gona kick off the sason with a couple of little chix on sitters. Calibrated the BGE thermometer - when I first got it with my Egg 3 yrs. ago it drove me nuts - required drastic recalibration every time I used it, & I was getting ready to throw it out when about a year or so ago it settled down,& has needed little or no tweaking since. Think last time I adjusted it was last spring. Been sitting in the egg outside since New Year's pork loin; stuck it in a pan of boiling water & came up to 212 exactly. Don't know if this is in linewith what others have experienced or not, just FYI...ERIC

    E.B.,
Mine stay right on as long as I don't grab the dial and turn it to straighten it out if it rotates a little in the dome. You must open the dome and grab the shaft from inside to turn it.
