Ever wonder if your grill extender would support your pizza stone??..ever wonder why you would ever need to know this??...about 5 min into the direct cook of these honey glazed almonds when the glaze started to burn I had to put the pizza stone on top of the grill extender to go indirect!!...kinda shaky..but it worked..hope I didn ruin me nutz!!

there's that holy coper pan again. I think I really need one of those.

The grill extender won't be shaky at all if you stretch the legs so they hook on tight like this.

Were EZ
bout 4 cups whole natural almonds (no salted, roasted, nuttin)
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup karo syrup..dark is best but I didn have any
1/2 cup water
1-1/2 tbs EVOO
mix all but EVOO..stir in almonds
stir in EVOO
let soak 20-30 mins
setup egg 250-275 INDIRECT as per this post
drop in fav wood or what you have handy and let 'er get smokin real good
add almonds and dust w/favorite rub (I used john henry hot pecan on these)
smoke almonds for 45mins -hour till crunchy and marinade carmelizes, stirring every 5 mins or so and add rub to taste
ENJOY!

yeah..keep thinking i'm gonna buy one of those..but then there's always something else I think I need worse!

Stretch the extender tight and you'll be OK. I did a pork loin and biscuits on Monday AM. The loin went on and the biscuits went on the pizza stone on top of the extender. It worked well.
