Baked Potatoes

I am smoking a brisket at about 220 degrees and want to add baking potatoes at some point so they will be ready more or less when the brisket is done. Can anyone help me with the time it would take to do medium sized baking potatoes at 220 degrees? Thanks for your help!

My guess is 2.5-3 hrs.It usually takes me an hour or more at 300.

Thanks, Doug. I will give it a try for about 3 hours. Have you had any success with brining them?

The Naked Whiz

I brined some potatoes a few weeks ago and they turned out great, but then I roasted them for 1 hour at 400 degrees. I've never slow cooked a baking potato.

I have also never tried slow cooking.Three hours is only a guess.I haven't tried brining them either,but am always willing to try something new.Maybe next weekend.

BTW,If they're not ready when the meat is,you can always finish them in the microwave.
