Logging in and logging out etc

Chef in the Making

I seem to be logging in ok however I cannot tell if I am on line as I do not see my user's name.
If I have logged in correctly how can I tell if I have a handle and where do I go to change my profile and password.

Chef in the Making

When I click on my handle (Chef in the Making)or my user name (Urnmor)a message comes up saying I am not authorized to use this page.
I also cannot post using Chef in the Making.

I'm not sure what's happening here. Your profile is active and confirmed. According to our records, you last logged in this morning; so, it appears that your account is working properly.

Perhaps you've hit the timeout (which is set to an hour of inactivity) and been logged out w/out realizing it. That would cause you to get the "you are not authorized" page. TNW suggested changing that message to say something about logging in again to avoid the confusion. We will probably do something like that in the near future.

Thank you for your response. I am sending this to you just after I signed in. Chef in the Making was added to the list of logged on members but not my user name Urnmor. I cliked on it however when the page chaged it said I was not authorized access.

I then tried to use Chef in the Making to send you this email. Actually the user name showed it as ChefintheMaking with no space. It would not go through because of a posting problem.

I am going to leave Chef in the Making as my handle but use Urnmor to send this.

I justried logging in using Chef in the Making and I was rejected. When I did log in using Urnmor "Chef in the Making" became listed as being on line. But when I click on it it still tellsme I am not allowed access to the page.

I noted that like me you are fairly new to the Forum. I am wondering if other newbies are having the same issues
